Oman updates Peppol e-invoicing specifications to version 1.0.1
Oman has released version 1.0.1 of its Peppol e-invoicing specifications, covering tax data submission, standard billing, and self-billing processes for electronic invoices.
Oman’s Tax Data Document, PINT OM Billing, and PINT OM Self-Billing specifications have been updated to version 1.0.1 as of 29 July 2026. The update supports tax compliance and standardized electronic invoicing processes across Oman.
Oman has released version 1.0.1 of its Peppol e-invoicing specifications, effective 29 July 2026. The update covers three core processes for electronic invoicing in Oman.
Three processes in the updated specifications
The specifications define how the Peppol International methodology applies to Oman’s invoicing environment:
- Oman Tax Data Document (TDD) Process v1.0.1: Submission of tax data to the Oman tax authority for tax reporting and compliance.
- PINT OM Billing Process v1.0.1: Standard electronic invoicing between suppliers and buyers.
- PINT OM Self-Billing Process v1.0.1: A process where the buyer issues the invoice on behalf of the supplier.
The self-billing specification uses the same semantic data model as the standard PINT OM Billing process, ensuring consistency across both workflows.
Who this affects
The updated specifications apply to any business or service provider handling electronic invoices in Oman. Organizations already using Peppol for invoicing will need to ensure their systems support version 1.0.1. Software vendors and Access Points serving Oman should update their implementations to align with the new specifications.
The full specifications are available at the OpenPeppol documentation portal.
