Denmark releases OIOUBL 2.1 schematron 1.17.2 hotfix for tax code validation

Denmark's Business Authority has released OIOUBL schematron version 1.17.2 as a hotfix to correct a bug that incorrectly rejected invoices with different tax codes at line and document level. Implementation is mandatory from 18 May 2026.

Denmark’s Business Authority released OIOUBL schematron 1.17.2 on 1 May 2026 to fix a validation error in version 1.17.1. The bug caused invoices with different tax codes in line items and document-level allowances or charges to be wrongly rejected. All e-invoicing actors must implement the new schematron by 18 May 2026 at noon CET.

Denmark’s Business Authority has released OIOUBL schematron version 1.17.2 as a hotfix to correct a critical validation bug in version 1.17.1.

The bug caused invoices with different tax codes at line level and document-level allowances or charges to be incorrectly rejected. An alert e-invoicing actor flagged the issue to the Business Authority, which then developed the fix.

What changed

Schematron 1.17.2 introduces a new validation rule, F-LIB404. This rule checks that tax codes (tax-related values in cac:TaxTotal/cac:TaxSubtotal/cac:TaxCategory/cbc:ID) declared at line level and in document-level allowances or charges also exist in the document-level TaxTotal, and vice versa.

The tax category code list urn:oioubl:id:taxcategoryid has been updated to version 1.4. It now includes codes B, M, L, K, O, and G from the UNCL5305 code list. This ensures compatibility with Peppol invoices during conversion.

Rule F-LIB403 has also been updated. It now validates all fields with names ending in “Amount”, not just cbc:Amount. This ensures all monetary amounts contain valid currency codes.

Implementation deadline

Schematron 1.17.2 is released as final. All e-invoicing actors must implement it by 18 May 2026 at noon CET (Central European Time, summer time). The schematron must not be deployed before or after this date.

The Business Authority apologised for the late release of the hotfix and any disruption it may cause. Questions about the release can be directed to Nemhandel support.

The new schematron files are available for download from the OpenEBusiness repository.
