Comarch hosted an e-invoicing business lunch in Manila on April 28, bringing together finance and IT leaders to discuss the Philippines’ new BIR Electronic Invoicing and Receipting System mandate. The company is expanding its e-invoicing solutions across Southeast Asia and is in the process of certifying solutions for additional countries such as Singapore.
Comarch held an e-invoicing business lunch in Manila on April 28 to help finance leaders navigate the Philippines’ new Electronic Invoicing and Receipting System (EIS) mandate from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
The event brought together CFOs, Tax Directors, and IT Compliance Leads to discuss the shift from manual invoicing processes to digital systems. Julia Sobolewska, Comarch’s Executive Sales Director, outlined the digital landscape and the company’s vision for the Philippines market. Jakub Krawczyk, Senior Legal Compliance Expert, led a session on EIS requirements, technical readiness, and legal compliance.
Sobolewska noted the strong interest from attendees: “The incredible turnout and the high level of engagement we saw today confirm just how critical e-invoicing is for enterprises in the Philippines right now. The discussions clearly showed that while navigating the new BIR mandate is complex, there is a tremendous drive among local finance leaders to turn this regulatory requirement into a true competitive advantage.”
After the presentations, participants networked with peers and worked with Comarch’s Legal and Technical Architects in one-on-one sessions to map their IT and compliance roadmaps.
Expansion across Southeast Asia
Comarch is expanding its e-invoicing footprint across Southeast Asia. Bartłomiej Wójtowicz, Consulting Manager at Comarch, said the company is actively supporting clients in the region and is currently certifying its e-invoicing solutions for additional countries, including Singapore. The company aims to provide clients with cross-border compliance coverage across multiple markets.
