Odoo becomes approved platform for e-invoicing in France
Odoo has registered as an Approved Platform (PA) with France's tax authority, enabling it to help VAT-liable businesses send and receive compliant electronic invoices under new EU rules.
Odoo is now officially registered as an Approved Platform in France, a certification required to provide electronic invoicing solutions to VAT-liable businesses. The registration allows Odoo to help companies comply with new EU e-invoicing standards that take effect in September 2026.
Odoo has completed registration as an Approved Platform (PA) in France, a certification required by the country’s tax authority to provide electronic invoicing solutions to VAT-liable businesses.
The registration comes as France implements new e-invoicing rules set by the European Union. From September 2026, all companies must be able to receive electronic invoices. Medium-sized and large firms must also issue e-invoices and report data to tax authorities. Small businesses face the same requirement starting September 2027.
What an Approved Platform does
An Approved Platform is an interface registered with France’s Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP). It allows VAT-liable companies to receive, generate, and send invoices in compliant electronic formats. It also extracts invoice data required by tax authorities and collects e-reporting data on service payments and B2B and B2C transactions.
Companies have two ways to comply with the new rules. They can use an Approved Platform registered by the state, or they can use a compatible solution connected to an Approved Platform for invoice and tax data transmission.
